Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Construction

Under direction of the Project Manager, the Assistant Project Manager works to help implement project goals, analyze data, create and deliver reports and assist the construction team with a variety of tasks to ensure the project is delivered on schedule and within budget. Minimum job requirements and Responsibilities are outlined below.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college.
  • Ability and desire to successfully work in a team environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong experience with computer operating systems.
  • Superb organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with Project Manager to help implement project goals.
  • Complete assigned project tasks and ensure timely execution.
  • Assist with project permit process.
  • Assist with procuring materials and other items necessary for completing project goals.
  • Assist with RFI preparation and tracking.
  • Gather project data, analyze information, and assist with report preparation as assigned.
  • Oversee job cost accuracy and related reporting requirements.
  • Attend and participate in project meetings.
  • Assist with project close-out and ensure project turnover exceeds client’s expectations.
  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner.
  • Maintain good communication and positive relationships with project team members including architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and most importantly the project owner (s).
